This question is for truckers?

Hello, I plan on going to trucking school with my hubby and becoming team drivers. I want to know how safe it is to have my 2 Chihuahuas with me? There like daughters to me. I love them with all my heart and they are my family too. I don't want them miserable and hating life. I know some dogs go with their owners trucking but I never hear of small dogs.They are toy Chihuahuas. Does anyone know of Chihuahuas living a happy truckers life? I know it probably all depends on the dog but in general? Their happiness is so important to me. Baby and Roxy are indoor dogs and I didn't want this to freak my angels out.Also is it safe? Can they play in the back on the bed? If one of us has to hold them the entire drive I think they would be upset.
