Who understands the general theory of relativitity?

In very simple terms, general relitivity describes the effect m has on space/time resulting in gravitational force. A mive object(such as earth)warps space/time to create gravitational attraction on another mive object(such as the moon).Think of a streched out rubber mat(space/time) and drop a ball on it.The m of the ball warps the mat out of shape. Now drop a smaller ball into the warp and the smaller ball will fall towards the larger ball. That is the simplest way to explain it. OK- Space/time . Space and time are the same thing. That comes from The Special Theory of Relativity. This states that an observed object can only measured one of two ways. It's speed or it's point in space. You cannot measure both. It also states that the faster an object travels the apparent page of time slows. Here is a useful example. In a NASCAR race there are two points of reference. The one of the driver of the race car and the other of the observer of the speeding car.To the observer, the cars appear to be traveling at a great rate of speed. But to the driver time seems to slow because he and the other drivers are traveling at the same relative speed. So the apparent page of time is relative to the speed at which an object travels.
