Do you think this idea for a hoverboard would work?

Hello I often have crazy ideas and I have one for a hoverboard. My idea is to have a skateboard's wheels taken off. Next mount a neodymium magnet onto the bottom of the wheel-less skateboard. After that nail a small board to each side of the skateboard and another board to connect the two smaller ones. After that mount the two more neodymium magnets onto the board that connects the two small ones so they would propel against the the one. After that hook up a car battery or a strong PDA battery to a switch and hook it connect it to the two neodymium magnets that will propel against the one by soldering it or something. Do you think that would be enough to make an actual hoverboard?
