How large will this carbon footprint be?

In nine days time representatives of 192 countries will fly to Copenhagen, Denmark for a climate change conference. Think about the emissions from all those aircraft, the cars used to ferry them backwards and forwards plus of course their entourage, the carbon footprint of the food which will have had to be brought in to feed them at these banquets etc, the wine trail, the amount of washing powder, soap and water for their bedding and hotel use - i could go on and on with this but then i'd be as bad as they are! Why in this age of technology can they not use video conferencing?
